MEET STEPHEN RICHER
Stephen won election as Maricopa County Recorder in November 2020 and took office in January 2021.
In 2022, The Arizona Republic named Stephen “Arizonan of the Year” and The Phoenix New Times awarded him “Republican of the Year” for running the Recorder’s office in such a principled manner.
Stephen is one of the hardest working elected officials in Arizona, and has a passion for management and government transparency. He has repeatedly been called the “most accessible politician” and “most transparent election official.”
Prior to his election, Stephen worked as a business person and attorney.
Stephen and his wife met while students at The University of Chicago Law School. They live in South Phoenix.
